Why My Timer Bar Is not Showing and How to Fix It

There are several reasons why your timer bar might not be showing. Here are some of the most common ones to check. Note: If things still aren’t working after checking the common issues, please contact our support team for further assistance. Your Page Might Be Cached Browsers often cache pages to help them load faster. That means updates you make may not appear right away—instead, your browser might still show an older version of your site. To view the latest version, try clearing your browser cache or opening your site in a private/incognito window. PageUni Countdown Timer Is Not Activated on Current Theme After installing PageUni Countdown Timer for the first time or switching your store theme, make sure to activate it. Otherwise, the timer bars in your campaigns won’t show up on your store pages. If PageUni Countdown Timer isn’t activated, you’ll see a message on the Dashboard to help you enable it. For detailed steps, check out this guide. Activation message The Product Is Not Published The timer bar campaign of type "Product Page Bar" will only show on Shopify products published as "Active." It won’t appear on preview pages for products saved as "Draft." Active product The Default Add-to-Cart Button Has Been Replaced and Cannot Be Detected The timer bar campaign of type "Product Page Bar" might not appear on your product page due to conflicts with other apps or your theme. By default, the timer bar displays above or below the add-to-cart button. However, if you use apps that replace this button or add extra buttons—like pre-order, bundle, or sticky cart apps—the timer may not show correctly. Usually, using Custom placement to position the timer bar above or below your replaced add-to-cart button will resolve this issue. If it doesn’t, please contact our support team. The Timer Bar Campaign Is Set to Start in the Future If you set the campaign’s start time to a future date in the schedule settings, the timer bar won’t appear right after publishing. It will only start showing when the scheduled start time arrives. The Timer Bar Campaign Has Ended When a timer bar campaign ends, PageUni Countdown Timer will automatically hide it because showing zeros is not a good experience. Please check your countdown timer campaign settings to ensure your campaign is still active and published. Custom Placement Not Set Up Correctly If you choose to use the Custom placement, you need to manually add the timer using Shopify app blocks or the provided code snippets. Please go to the theme editor or theme code editor to check whether the related content is set up correctly. There Might Be an Issue With Your Page’s HTML For example, if the "</head>" or "</body>" tags are accidentally removed from your theme, your campaigns might not show up. Please check your theme’s code files (like theme.liquid) to make sure the file content is correct. In some cases, you may need a developer’s help to find and fix errors in your theme’s code. The Timer Bar May Be Covered by the Header or Other Page Elements Sometimes your timer bar is active but not visible because it’s covered by another element on your page. To check if this is the case, try changing where the timer bar is placed. If it still stays hidden behind other content, please contact our support team—we’re here to help you resolve it.
